Is Community Right For You? — Nomadic Communities

A 4-week online discernment journey · Starting Friday, June 6th at 6:00 PM Costa Rica time

Is community
right for you?

You feel drawn to community. You're just not sure you're ready. Or if it's even right for you.

That uncertainty isn't weakness — it's wisdom. And this is where it gets to speak.

You feel something pulling you toward a different way of living.
More connection. More meaning. More belonging.

Before you make any move — this is where you slow down and find out what's actually true.

Something brought you here

Most people arrive with
one of these feelings.

You feel pulled toward community but you don't know if you're actually ready — or if you're romanticizing it.
You've tried community before and it didn't work. You don't want to repeat that without understanding what happened.
You're done with the isolated, productivity-first version of life — but you're not sure what the alternative actually looks like for you.
You value honesty over hype. You want to know the real answer, even if it's "not yet."

"You do not need to already know your answer. Curiosity and sincerity are enough."

What this is

Not a pitch for community living.
An honest inquiry into it.

Most conversations about community focus on land, vision, lifestyle, and ideals. The beautiful things.

Very few focus on what actually determines whether community works for a person: how they handle conflict. How they share responsibility. How their nervous system responds to sustained closeness. Whether their timing is right.

This is why communities fail — not because people lack heart, but because they didn't have the chance to tell themselves the truth before they committed.

This journey gives you that chance.

What most courses focus on

  • Land and location
  • Shared vision and values
  • Lifestyle and aesthetics
  • The beauty of the idea

What this journey focuses on

  • How conflict actually shows up for you
  • How you relate to shared responsibility
  • How your nervous system handles closeness
  • Whether your timing is honest
  • What a grounded YES, NOT YET, or NO feels like

Who this is for

Three kinds of people
find this worth everything.

The drawn but uncertain
You feel the pull toward community but you want to be honest with yourself before you move. You value realism over romance.
The once-burned
You've been in community before and it broke down. You want language for what happened — and to understand yourself better before trying again.
The quietly questioning
You're not sure community is the answer. But something about how you're living now isn't working either. You want clarity more than anything.

Even if you arrive thinking "I don't want to live in community" — the themes of this journey apply to every long-term relational context. Families, partnerships, teams, spiritual groups, workplaces. Self-awareness in relationship is never wasted.

The 4-week arc

What we move through
together.

Four live 90-minute calls. Supporting recorded teachings. Written reflection prompts. The calls are the heart — everything else exists to deepen what happens in them.

Wk 01
Why community? Rhythm and reality.
We start with the pull — what's drawing you toward this, and whether that desire fits with your actual life rhythms, energy, and capacity right now.
The truth this week surfaces: is the longing coming from a full place or a depleted one?
Wk 02
Conflict, nervous system & gratitude.
We look honestly at how you respond to conflict, unmet expectations, and emotional friction in shared spaces — the things no one talks about in the brochure.
The truth this week surfaces: what your nervous system actually needs to feel safe in closeness.
Wk 03
Work, money & leadership.
We examine contribution, shared resources, and leadership — the territory where most community conflicts live and where most people have the least honest self-knowledge.
The truth this week surfaces: your actual relationship to shared responsibility and power.
Wk 04
Readiness, shadow & integration.
We integrate everything — and you leave with a grounded, honest answer about your actual next step. Not what you hoped to find. What's true.
The truth this week surfaces: your real answer. Yes, not yet, or no — and why that answer is something to trust.

What you leave with

Clarity is the outcome.
Whatever it looks like.

There is no required destination. The journey does not push you toward community — it helps you find your actual answer and trust it.

Relief from the confusion or self-blame that comes from not having language for past experiences
A grounded YES, NOT YET, or NO — and the self-trust to act from it
Language for what has happened to you in shared living — and why
Greater trust in your own timing, instincts, and capacity for honesty

"Clarity is success — regardless of what the answer is."
